JACKSON, MS  (WLBT) - A Scott County nurse has been arrested after being accused of taking drugs from a patient.

Attorney General Jim Hood announced Friday 27-year-old Jacob David Lee turned himself into investigators. He is charged with obtaining a controlled substance by means of fraud.

Lee is formerly a registered nurse at S.E. Lackey Critical Access Hospital in Forest.

He is accused of taking the drug Pethidine, also known as demerol, which is a Schedule II controlled substance, by changing the physician's order for a patient and then converting it to his own use.

Lee was booked in the Scott county jail and has been released on $5,000 bond. He faces up to five years in prison.
